Brownies are aged between 7 and 10 and are the largest section within LSW. Normally starting around 6 or 6.30pm in the evenings, Brownies partake in a wide range of activities and also includes some girl leadership being grouped into “Sixes” with older girls taking on the role of “Sixer”, assisted by “Seconds”.
Fiona has been leading a Brownie unit in Putney since she came to work in London after university. “I love working with the Brownie age group (7-10) due to their endless enthusiasm for everything. From making up a dance routine to a Cheryl Cole track to making edible tea cups from wafers, the girls throw themselves into everything we do and it is a privilege to give them opportunities that they will remember for the rest of their lives.”
Ada from 8th Upper Tooting says “We do really exciting things each week” and Emily says, “The French Day was fun – dressing up and learning new things”
