This is run on alternate years and is a 24-hour event for approx. 100 Guides based at Cudham campsite. Guides arrive on Saturday morning and pitch tents. After a packed lunch teams complete a number of activities, some for fun and others to learn useful skills for the night ahead. After supper, once it is dark, teams are sent off to one of the bases where they complete an activity which is scored. They then navigate to the next check-point. We use radios to check on teams arrival & departure from bases and roaming leaders to search for any missing groups. After completing all six activities or at the end of two hours its time for hot-chocolate & bed. After breakfast & striking camp the winners are announced and presented with a trophy.
